The God of the Bible is a God who speaks, who spoke the world itself into being; his word is powerful and it will accomplish what he sends it to do. Our heavenly Father still seeks to communicate with us today, and it can be as natural to encounter his voice at a football match or the supermarket checkout, as it can be in a church or a prayer room.
