Jihad in the City

Examining a militant Islamist movement, Tawhid, which implemented an 'Islamic Emirate' over the Lebanese city of Tripoli in the 1980s, this study uses this turbulent backdrop to develop broader insights into the impact of ideologies and local contexts on social movements, rebel groups and terrorist organizations.
